DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN NOUAKCHOTT
Today you arrive in Nouakchott, where the guide will welcome you at the airport. Your guide will bring you to Hotel de la Bienvenue. You will have some time to refresh, and depending on your arrival time, you will meet your travel group and guide for dinner to get to know each other some more. Then it is time to rest before the journey through Mauritania starts tomorrow.
DAY 2: NOUAKCHOTT TO IWIK
After breakfast, we depart by 4x4 to Banc d'Arguin National Park. The park hosts one of the world's most diverse communities of nesting birds, such as flamingos, pelicans, and terns. The entire park has over 200 km of coastline and includes many islands. The extensive intertidal flats of Banc d’Arguin shelter some of the most pristine seagrass beds on earth.
