DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN BISSAU - BOLOMA - BUBAQUE ISLAND
Arrive at Osvaldo Vieira International Airport in Bissau, where our team will welcome you. After lunch at a local restaurant, travel by speedboat to Bolama, the former capital of Portuguese Guinea until 1936. Explore its colonial-era streets, grand but weathered buildings, and experience the eerie beauty of this semi-abandoned town. At dusk, witness thousands of fruit bats filling the sky — a haunting, unforgettable scene. Continue by speedboat to Bubaque, the largest island of the Bijagós, and check in at Casa África Hotel.
DAY 2: BUBAQUE - AMBUDCO - ORANGO ISLAND
After an early breakfast, join Bijagó women during their traditional shellfish gathering (tides permitting). Continue to Marcha, the oldest village in the national park, then walk through mangroves and palm groves to Ambuduco, the most sacred tabanka of the island.
